1. How does the process work?
Working with NuHP is as simple as a few easy steps! After submitting your initial contact request form, a NuHealth representative will send you the link to complete your initial $100 nonrefundable deposit. Once you've completed the deposit please let us know and we will send you your intake form to complete your order. A confirmation number, email, and text message will be sent over to you promptly, payment plan options are available at this time as well. After this process is complete we will either send out your shipping kit if you are outside of a direct pick up area, or provide you with additional details for your 24hr placenta collection service.
2. Can I request more info before purchasing my package?
Absolutely! Submit your contact info here and a NuHP Consultant will contact you directly.
3. Does it have to be my placenta?
NuHealth Placenta provides placenta encapsulation services to the birthing person only. We do not sell or collect donated placentas for processing.
4. Do I have to pay the hospital to release my own placenta?
No, your placenta is your legal property and does not belong to the hospital or birth facility in any way. Typically the hospital will have the patient sign a placenta release form identifying who will be keeping the placenta post delivery.
5. Can I use your service if I’m having a home birth?
Yes! We can accommodate any place of birth, including your home.
6. What if I have an infection or traumatic labor?
We use a series of safety and sanitation protocols to ensure all placentas are completely consumable despite any type of infection or birth trauma.
7. Can I make payments during my pregnancy? Do you have a payment plan option?
Once you receive your invoice you have access to our pay-as-you-go option. Please contact us directly by submitting your contact info here and a NuHP consultant will reach out to you directly.
8. Is it still ok to do cord blood banking or delayed cord clamping?
Yes, it is still safe and effective to encapsulate your placenta even if you are delayed the cord clamping post delivery.
9. How do I ask the hospital for my placenta? Will the hospital release it to me?
Please notify your nurse upon arrival to the birthing facility that you will be keeping your placenta. The hospital or birthing facility needs your permission to test, toss, or take your placenta from you for any reason. Your placenta is your legal property.
10. Can I still encapsulate if I have a c-section?
Absolutely! We highly encourage our c-section mommies to encapsulate their placenta. The stem cells present in the amniotic sac of your placenta are highly beneficial in speeding up recovery after a major surgery such as this.
11. Can I use HSA (Health Savings Account)?
You are able to use your HSA to purchase your placenta encapsulation service.
12. Does the placenta lose its benefits after being processed?
Your placenta is full of hormones and nutrients that still remain intact after the initial process. We do not recommend processing your placenta using any other method due to potential bacterial or viral transfer that other processes may have.
13. How do I know I am getting my own placenta?
Your name and hospital info is confirmed at the time of pick up and the placenta is labeled upon collection. Your placenta and its label follow each order stage of your process. With a streamlined process with strict safety protocol in place, your placenta is processed in a singular station with the label mentioned above.
14. How long does it take to get my capsules back?
Capsule delivery timeframes will vary based on the time of collection. Typically your placenta capsules are delivered back to your within 3-5 days.

Our safety and sanitation standards provide the safest method of placenta encapsulation in the industry. If you experience any type of infection brought on by a virus or bacteria or process will eliminate it during the process.
16. When is it NOT safe to encapsulate my placenta?
Our business model does not allow us to encapsulate your placenta if you have an active Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C infection, or if you are HIV/AIDS + for the safety of our staff.
17. What if I am GBS+ (Strep B)?
Our encapsulation method allows you to safely encapsulate your placenta if you are GBS+ (Group B Streptococcus). This will allow you to safely consume your placenta, providing benefits for you and your baby.
